What Causes Rock Chips in Windshields?

Rock chips commonly occur when gravel, stones or other road debris strike the windshield while driving.

Should I Repair a Rock Chip Right Away?

It is generally best to address a rock chip promptly, as existing damage may spread and develop into a larger crack.

Can Every Rock Chip Be Repaired?

Not necessarily. Whether a chip can be repaired depends on factors such as its size, location and severity.

Will a Rock Chip Disappear Completely after Repair?

A repair is intended to address the damage, but some visible evidence of the original chip may remain.

When Does a Windshield Need Replacement Instead of Repair?

Replacement may be recommended when windshield damage is too extensive or unsuitable for repair.
